There's one specific thing you want to work on
A single event that hasn't been put down. A conflict that runs on a loop. A decision no one can get to the bottom of. A diagnosis that reframed everything and hasn't been absorbed yet. Intensives work best aimed at a clear target, not a general wish to feel better
Everyone can explain the problem and nothing changes
The insight is there. Everyone can name the pattern, and still the same thing happens on Tuesday that happened last Tuesday. Understanding something and being able to do it differently are two separate pieces of work, and the second one needs consecutive time to practice in.
You're in therapy and you want to go deeper on one thing
An intensive can sit inside work you're already doing — a concentrated push on a single issue, then back to your regular sessions with it handled. I'm glad to coordinate with your therapist and hand back whatever is useful.
A weekly appointment isn't something you can hold
Because you travel for work, or work shifts, or drive a route. Because you're a nurse, a pilot, a consultant, a rancher in season. Because childcare changes every week, or custody is split, or you're a college student home only over winter break. Because you live two hours from Longmont and the drive costs more than the session.
