Sorin Lorne Thomas (they/them), MA, LPC, LAC, CGP, ACS

I grew up a gifted, third-culture kid in Europe. For as long as I can remember, I have always loved horses! I started riding when I was four years old in Spain, and competed in hunter/jumpers from primary school in Europe through to university in the USA.

When I moved to Boulder, I earned a Bachelors Degree in Contemplative Psychology and a Masters Degree in Somatic Psychology from Naropa University. Since then, I have become a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Addictions Counselor, Certified Group Psychotherapist, and Approved Clinical Supervisor. I am also the founding and executive director of an LGBTQ+ non-profit mental health organization.

Supporting young people and their families is one of my favorite ways to serve the community. I have nineteen years of professional experience in the field of psychology, including post-graduate experience in wilderness therapy, canine and equine assisted therapies, residential treatment, and emergency psychiatric services.

For the last five years, I’ve had the joy of gentling and training my two young mustangs. I also volunteer with Boulder County Mounted Search and Rescue (BoCo MSAR). I love camping and traveling with my horses and dogs.
